Biography
Hello, I'm Kimberly Irwin and I'm an army child so we move around a lot and I haven't really been able to pursue my dream because we were never in an area long enough. I'm only staying in Korea for a year, then I'll be moving someplace else (hopefully back to the states!). But moving has also made me very culturally diverse and I've been to loads of places all over Asia, like: Australia, New Zealand, Japan, China, Guam, Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, and others. Haven't been to Europe, Africa, or South America at all though, but my point is I'm used to traveling, so that wouldn't bother me except for perhaps the cost of a plane ticket.
I'll be 15 this August and I'm entering my sophomore year of high-school, I maintain mostly "A" grades, with occasional "B"s. This past year, I played one of the pink ladies, Jan, and I was also the one who sang the song "Beauty School Dropout", so I don't get stage fright, I can sing, I can dance, and I've always loved acting since I was little. Of course that's not the only play I've been in, there been about 4 others I've been in from elementary through middle school, and I always had speaking/singing roles.
I have an unusual hair color, it's not quite red, but I suppose it'd be called red. It'd probably be considered auburn, but it also contains natural blond highlights so I'm not sure. It's very thick and wavy, takes a while to straighten let me tell you. I would consider my "reddish" hair and my green eyes to be my best physical assets. Also my straight white teeth help too ;). Anyways, I'll stop blabbing but if you want to know something else, please contact me if you're at all interested!
Background
I have a few certificates from the plays that I've been in.
I've sung solos in front of my entire school, twice in the 4th grade, and three times in the 9th, both for school plays.
I've taken Drama class throughout my school years and have learned a great deal from that.
I've been in Drama Club in 7th and 9th grade, and I'm looking forward to joining it this year as well. When (not if) I make the Drama Team this year, I'll be able to go to an organization called "Far East", where all the drama teams in the pacific region come together to compete. We would put on a series of skits, monologues, and pantomimes, and the team who performs the best wins...the honor of winning really, and a free trip to Japan where it's usually held.
I'm very excited about that this year, but I'd also love to be apart of not just school competitions and plays, but for it to be my job, to be able to be on an actual movie set or a real live stage somewhere...right now I can only dream for that day.
Personal interests
I love to ski! I used to live in Montana, and I learned how to ski really well there. I can also play piano, read music, and I can sing pretty well. I'm currently taking French and I love it, I'm going into French III this year. I can do a cartwheel, but I'm not the best gymnast. I enjoy reading, I have a college reading level and read for pleasure all the time. I'm a movie addict, I love to watch movies, probably because I'm trying to pick up acting tips and because I'm trying to picture myself up there.
Entertainment Goals
Well I'd love to act in a movie, but acting on stage is fun too. My dream is to be the best that I can be in the acting/entertainment industry.
I would like to just have some good directing so I can reach my full potential, because I know I'm capable of a lot, I just need a little coaching, I'm totally admitting that I'm an amateur, I know that. But I have a desire to learn, and I'm a very quick learner and would always do my absolute best.
